"Who introduced me to the sport of Disc Golf?
Covid 19. I am a Corona golfer. I picked it up by myself to do something outside and away from humans. Purchased a Dynamic Discs starter pack consisting of a Prime Burst Witness, Truth, and Judge. Only went out a few times in 2019. 2020 is where I really started playing. The more I played the deeper the addiction."
"What is your biggest Disc Golf accomplishment? Your most proud moment in the sport?
Becoming a staple figure in our fantastic community. Someone, it seems for most, that everyone knows and likes to talk to and play together. Rising through the ranks to be considered one the strongest players in our area and beyond."
"Whats your favorite disc color to throw?
Bright green."
"What weight drivers do you like to throw?
170 grams to 174 grams."
"What one disc do you throw the farthest? Pure distance
A dyed bottom stamp Star Destroyer."
"What do you putt with?
Summertime, Butter Blend Pie Pan Baggers. Winter, Classic Blend Soft Wardens and Deputys."
"What course did you fall in love with Disc Golf on?
Buck Creek in Springfield, OH"
"Whats the Tournament you circle on the calendar 1st as a cant miss?
Ohio Amateur Championship at Findley State Park."
"In one sentence or less, tell us one interesting thing about you not disc golf related?
I'm a little on the crazy side."
"Tell us about your Tournament Day routine and if you carry any lucky charms?
I like to show up 1 1/2 to 2 hours early so I can talk to everyone arriving. I start with putting for at least 40 minutes. While putting, I also stretch to get the body loosened up. Next, I will move to field work. Starting with putters, concentrating on being smooth and getting the disc to come out flat and accurate. Then moving up through mids and drivers. I like to end with another 20 or 30 putts. And of course, the rubber BIRD ALERT Chicken is ever present supervising."
"When you play a new course for a tournament what is your plan of action. Play it blind, walk some holes, get the details from a card mate? Tell us how you attack a new course.
Ideally, I would like to have at least 2 practice rounds. If not, during a shotgun start, I will take a putter and Zone and throw both off of every tee to get the lay of the land. This replaces my normal warm-up. With tee times I will consult my card mates and play relatively conservative the 1st round."
